Children in Need

Last Friday on Children in Need day, the Meercat directors were out collecting money at their nearest main line station, along with members and children of their local Round Table Club. 

During the evening rush, which is the station's busiest period, in excess of £1400 was raised for this worthy cause. All in all around 40kg of cash!

The collection at Haywards Heath station achieved two very worthwhile goals, the first being the actual money raised, a substantial increase in the amount raised last year, but also it brought the fact that it was Children in Need day to the attention of the travellers. 

This was the second year Meercat Directors collected for Children in Need, ‘We'll certainly be back next year!' said Director Mike Doughty.
