T5 fluorescent tubes are much more efficient than old-style T8 and T12 fluorescents - but they are also smaller in diameter and shorter in length, preventing like-for-like replacement.

Plug-in Save It Easy® units provide the necessary high-frequency ballast to operate and adapt Switchstart and Starterless fittings to accept energy saving T5 tubes simply and easily. This means an easy switch to energy-efficient lighting, as a more cost effective and time saving alternative to replacements or refurbishments.

With over one million units sold Save It Easy® is a very well proven technology and can yield savings of 30 to 56%, as shown in the table below:

Note: Because of the increased light output and quality from the T5 tube it is sometimes possible, on multi tube luminaires, to only replace some of the tubes, giving even greater savings.  This is particularly true for 600 and 1200 quad units.  A blanking panel is provided to produce a neat finish.
