Passenger Transport as organised for InMidTown Business Improvement District This is an extremely high carbon footprint commodity. We have put together a framework of suppliers that can save a great deal of money, monitor and manage carbon and provide a fantastic service. (We have compared our framework with costs currently being paid by companies in Holborn, the results have identified savings between 10-70%) Our Strategy: Everyone was given an equal chance to tender. We Interviewed 100 passenger transport companies in and around Central London. We sent out 50 sets of tender documents to interested parties. Our quality section was extremely detailed. Pricing was London post code to London Post code, plus all airports from every post code. This was over 7200 combinations for every vehicle provided. 12 tender returns which resulted in circa 1/4 million lines of pricing to be analysed. From the extensive pricing and quality evaluation we selected 3 companies that can provide all the options and best value for money for the community. Due-diligence has been undertaken on all 3. It is extremely important that our framework providers perform excellently therefore a detailed service level agreement has been designed. See the SLA. Providers will be continually monitored against this SLA. Although all vehicle options are included in the framework the most environmentally friendly vehicle, the Toyota Prius has been included in the fleet. We have created an online calculator thatenablesInMidTownmembers to see the best price for their journey and show them all their vehicle options. It will also show them the carbon footprint for each vehicle option. Included on the calculator page is a section which accesses the transport for London website and provides information about your proposed journey with respect to using buses and trains as an alternative. In time we will add carbon information for these forms of travel as well so they can be viewed alongside the taxi data. Also on the page we have a map which shows the route of the journey and highlights all stations. If the distance of the journey is less than 2 miles, this section of the screen changes and shows walking information, i.e. distance and best route etc. By providing all options, costs and carbon information we are enabling you to make informed procurement decisions at the point of booking. We will help you continually improve Every trip that is booked through our framework will be captured by the providers. You get your own management information along with your invoices. In addition to this every 3 months all management information is provided to Meercat Associates. At this point we are able to monitor the usage and usage patterns of every company; we will build a total carbon footprint for each company and build this into an overall carbon footprint for our business community. This information will be reported back to you and we will look to work with you to reduce your costs and carbon footprint.
